The hotel has a small outdoor pool with sun-beds where guests can enjoy a drink or meal. Afternoon tea can be had in the hotel's classic lounge' Le Salon Chantilly' - guests can also relax and have a sunset or pre-dinner drink here. Le Vendome is an excellent 5* hotel and the perfect place to stay to explore the city and to be spoilt after a hard day's sight seeing. (AHJ 01/04) Situated in the cosmoplitan suburb of Sea Point, Le Vendome is just 50 metres away from the picturesque Sea Point promenade with its stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel is a 5 minute drive (2.5 kms) away from downtown Cape Town and the popular tourist attraction that is the Waterfront. Cape Town International Airport is 40 kms from the hotel. One of Cape Town's most elegant hotels, Le Vendome is a grand 7 storey building with room balconies dominating the front of the building. This small elegant lobby has a white polished marble floor and a wide wood and marble reception desk. The area is dominated by a beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling of the second floor, where there is also a balcony looking down over the entrance lobby. The hotel offers fine food varying from local fresh seafood to international cuisine, all of which can be enjoyed with a wide choice of South African and international wines. Meals and snacks can also be ordered from your room or the poolside. All rooms are beautifully furnished and have held on to the luxurious 'Old-World' French style. Rooms have large comfortable beds and a writing table and chair for guests use.
